Halftime Hoops: The BAAM Free Throw Challenge!

We are asking a few of our brave BAAM parents and guardians to step onto the court, rally their friends, family, and networks, and shoot for a cause!

By becoming a fundraiser for Building African American Minds (BAAM) Inc, you will help raise vital funds for our BAAM Afterschool Program. Starting a fundraiser is easy, fun, and we will provide you with all the tools and templates you need to make a massive difference.

With your help, we can ensure this investment breaks the cycle by ensuring our children have access to educational and enrichment activities that will help them thrive in the classroom and as members of the community.

When & Where?

The high-energy shooting events will take place live during halftime on Wednesdays and Thursdays until the week of playoffs. The week of playoffs this halftime event will be every game. (Dates include: 7/22, 7/23, 7/29, 7/30, 8/5, 8/6, 8/10, 811, 8/12, and possibly 8/13 TBD)

How the Challenge Works:

Our participants will step up to the charity stripe at halftime to shoot 10 free throws. You can back your favorite shooter in two ways:

• Pledge Per Shot: Challenge your shooter! Sponsor them for $1, $2, $5, or $10 for every basket they successfully sink out of their 10 attempts (simply select an equivalent flat donation amount and leave a cheer in the comments!).
• Flat Donations: Want to show immediate love? Give a flat donation of any amount directly to their page to help them reach their personal fundraising goal.

1. Sign Up: Set up your personal fundraising page and use the spreadsheet to let us know which game you will shoot your free throws at!
2. Share: Ask family, friends, and coworkers to chip in. Just a few $10 donations add up fast!
3. Claim Your Gear: Reach a tier before the deadline, and your exclusive BAAM swag is yours.
